I’d heard about memorials with dates missing, but this was the first I’d come across. The date of the widow’s death and her age remain unfilled, as does the date at the bottom. |

In the chancel there is a memorial to a chap who ‘was suddenly deprived of life while performing an act of kindness’. The vicar told me that he hasn’t been able to find out how he died or what the act of kindness was. |
