Banbury
Christ Church
OS Ref SP457404

Christ Church stood on the corner of George Street & Broad Street. It was built in 1851 and a tower was added in 1880 (although a planned spire never materialised), but barely lasted 100 years, being demolished in 1967.

This picture of Christ Church (of unknown date) was kindly supplied by Phil Draper.
I’m sorry about the quality - neither of us are to blame.

A picture can also be found on the English Heritage Viewfinder site, but be aware that it’s back to front!
